In previous post stated that our F3 Box seemed to have died so bought (second hand) a F5s box from seller stating only 3 months old & had 100% feedback. Box appears fine etc. Then got new subscription, so far so good. Followed instructions here & loaded files & channel list successfully. PROBLEM - Most of the channels have the $ sign & cannot be accessed whilst other channels such as BBC1 keep freezing for a few seconds every minute or so. Cannot even get channel 5 - which is freeview channel. Deleted channels & put on AJ's list but that hasn't made a difference. I did some info & signal was showing on the channels I was looking at around 43% (not at home right now so maybe not 100% accurate) Have got a bit braver lately & have looked at TP lists etc but nothing.
Now don't know if it is the box or subscription or both!!! Cannot see it is the dish as I wouldnt think that has moved, besides everything was fine on my older F3 box until I tried downloading some new channel lists.
Another consideration is I read a post "The end is near" saying that Sky are moving many channels & successfully blocking access, if that is the case would I be wasting my money on re purchasing the above & maybe a cable box would be a better route??? -
Another post I read mentioned the F5s was not very good at picking up signals which may account for my low picture quality & low sat strength in which case would a dream box or linus box be the answer?
As I mentioned (and very clear to anybody with any knowledge more than me) - I AM VERY CONFUSED not to mention frustrated with virtually no TV past couple of weeks.
