Curious - Running cable & Skybox on same TV

Curious as if you see my earlier posts having some problems with skybox etc. Read post that said if you have sky broadband then this may cause problems (we do have Sky broadband). Regardless of problems our contract with sky broadband has expired & was just looking for new supplier and saw Virgin cable media have what looks like good deal, Broadband (up to 50mb) & TV package for 12 months @ ?15.00 and then 6 months @ ?20.00

Question can you have cable connected to TV as well as a satellite skybox (F5s) - Would they both work

1.) I have sky BB and don't have any problems. I think it is a myth.
2.) You will be fine. Sky or virgin won't touch the dish so it will work.
