skybox f5s custom firmware / network recording

Hi all. Just wondered if anyone has any ideas when/if ever a custom firmware for the f5s will appear. I loved my Cable DM500c from a few years ago, and loved the fact you could network record using the mounts option.

i know the f5s is a completely different animal, but does anyone have any idea when/if ever a customer firmware may be available to allow this.
