cannot get any sky programs or any channel lists

hi guys new here, my fathers been messing around with his box, wasnt getting anything so i tried fixing it, i have managed to update the satelite list + perform scan, allthough it gets the satelite channels none of them seam to work, also if i goto update the channel list it then wipes all the channels and im back to square one, i have no idea what im doing wrong (tbh i probably have no idea what iam doing) any help would be appreaciated

Do you have a gift ? Your box needs internet connection and a gift before channels will open. If not you should still get freeveiw

i think i have misplaced the gift to which you refer ? i got internet, got freeview, pretty much everything is working now except from the main channels, contacted the guy they got it from, he says it wasnt him who deliverd it so cant help, am i right in thinking "I NEED" the piece of paper it came with ?????

Sorry only help you will get is this post a few years out of date but still good for the F3 box
