To get the headings to show correctly you need to reset your box back to Factory settings after you have installed the latest channel list (menu > tools > factory settings). A message will appear to say that it will erase the channels. Select Yes. A pop-up menu will appear with options to erase other files. DO NOT SELECT ANY OF THESE. Press the blue button on remote. Wait a few seconds for the data to be saved.

You should now have the favourites labeled correctly.

Put the box into standby & then back to ON. (You have to do this now before making any of the changes mentioned below, otherwise they will revert back).

On some of the older models these menu options may need to be reset...

Check DHCP is set to ON
Check Local time setting is still on UK
Subtitles will be set to ON
Network Local Settings may be hidden (press 6666)
Volume will be reset to half way
PIN might have been reset to 0000 (not sure about this, as I never change it).

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WHAT I DID:

      FACTORY RESET BOX
LOADED LATEST 2014 TP LIST (WHICH I DOWNLOADED FREE)
UPGRADE BY USB USING MISC FILES AND UPGRADE TP LIST...
ONCE DONE REBOOT BOX AND CHANNELS WILL BE IN ORDER... IF THIS FAILS THEN:

UPGRADE MAIN FIRMWARE ABS FORMAT I THINK... ONCE SOFTWARE UPGRADE DONE THEN FOLLOW THE TOP INSTRUCTIONS PS: DONT FACTORY RESET THE BOX AFTER UVE UPGRADED THE BOX AS I DIDNT.

You should only need to set the box to factory settings, as this will load the default database for the channel list, which will put the correct favorite headings in place.

This question comes up a lot on these forums, usually when the headings remain as Fav1, Fav2 etc. Just doing a Factory settings always works.

If, for any reason it doesn't, then the headings can always be edited manually.
