Horizontal channels showing no signal F5s

So I've been getting this problem for a long time now where all the horizontal channels are not getting any signal but the vertical channels are fine. If the box is left on for a few hours the horizontal channels sometimes start to work for a bit and then they will stop and sometimes becomes a cycle it is a pain considering everytime I want to watch a certain thing the channel is not working!

I have put my sky+ box in and everything is fine no problems.

The f5s was the only box I got connected to my lnb since it is only 1 feed lnb anyway and so if the normal sky is working fine that should rule out an lnb problem right? But just to be sure I did try my f5s and my neighbours house and yes it was the same problem they also have a single feed lnb.

I have run out of ideas and don't really know what is causing the problem so any suggestions/ ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

I'm guessing you may need to look on fleabay for " no signal fix" it's a little attachment to your cable.

      Thanks for the reply

I've read and heard from other people that the "no signal fix" is used when it's the vertical channels that aren't working and with mine it's the otherway round so I'm not too sure that will work for me plus people usually use it when they have got more than one box connected to the same lnb which is not the case for me as I only a got a single feed lnb anyway.

Does seem a strange one if both polarities are working on your other box.

Had a problem with vertical channels believe the problem was a poor connection at the LNB end of the cable remade it off problem went. I put the problem down to a volt drop over the bad connection

It does sound like a problem with the H/V switching voltage.

Is it possible for you to measure the voltage at the LNB socket? Not that it's worth trying to fix it to be honest.

I had the same problem a couple of months ago, tried all the normal things- checked connection- re-installed software - No signal fix- Tried my other box on the same connection- works fine- cloned this boxes settings, all with no joy
I purchased a replacement box which is spot on.
I basically now have a spare remote control and HDMI cable.
