Are you absolutely sure that you haven't renamed the file?

The file should be named TP_PROG.dbs.

Check that there's no problem with the box/usb port by dumping a file on the usb stick drive.

menu - tools - dump by USB
          Dump mode = Misc files
select (green) 'Channel_info.xml' then dump (yellow)

put usb drive back in your computer and see if 'channel_info.xml' file is on it

I realise that the file has not been changed in any way but are you aware that the Windows OS will rename a file ( i.e. add a number to the end of it e.g TP_PROG(1).dbs ) if there is already a file with the same name in your downloads location. If this happens, then the Skybox is a bit fussy and won't upgrade it. Obviously, if you're already aware of this behaviour then this won't be the cause of your issue.

If you have more than 1 box try the same usb and see if works. Could be USB connection faulty on the box. if not try this : SkyBox F3 F3S F4 F5 F5S Repair Service Fix - Brick - Flashing - Stuck on Load | eBay

Did you try dumping a file to it as martin035 suggested?

You could also try pressing the record button to do a test recording for a minute or 2, then see if it plays back in the media player.

It will show that data is being transfered OK to the USB stick.
