    Openbox f5s frozen

    Can anyone help?
I transferred a cccam.cfg file via the LAN transfer app. Then rebooted the box.
Now if I have the Ethernet cable disconnected my box works fine on fta channels, as soon as I put the Ethernet cable in it totally freezes up the box.
I have tried a total factory default erasing everything and have tried a full firmware reinstall with no luck.

    Any help is appreciated

Sounds like the LAN tool has corrupted the file, factory reset sometime doesn't remove that file, you need to delete via the secret menu then reinstall the file via USB.

Sorry about been vague with the help, but cc###.#fg talk is against forum rules.

use to have this problem on old s9 when i entered too many (free) xxxxx in the box.. also noticed if i got euro xxxxxx with lots of others xxxxx on hop2 then had the same problem again. if using multiple xxxxx then it may be worth while trying to select just one and see how it goes.

Also check dhcp in network settings is set to on, and make sure you only have one sat feed in and not 2 as it's only a single tuner, a mistake a lot of folk seem to make

Only one sat feed in, dhcp is on, and only using one xxxx, done a total factory reset deleting all lines and totally defaulting the box, still totally locks as soon as I insert Ethernet cable :-(

how often do these bloody rules keep getting changed . maybe you should send folk to the the rule page whenever you decide to change them before they go visit anywhere elsewhere on the forum

This particular rule has never changed and have been there since day one of the forum. You don't need to re-visit something that hasn't changed, you do however have to read them in the first place.

When members join the forum they are directed to our forum rules in their welcome email. I don't think we should be informing long term members of our rules, please abide by them.

I'm not asking for advice about a line, I'm querying advice about my box, and trying to explain how it has broken.

Basically my box won't view fta channels, within 10seconds of plugging in the sat feed the picture and box totally freezes

I'm confused, you said in your OP it was plugging in the Ethernet cable that was causing the box to freeze, now your saying it's the sat feed cable????

Sorry yes the OP was wrong, I presumed that it was freezing due to the Ethernet connection, it's not, it freezes about 10s after the lnb is connected.

Hadron, thanks for the link, but unfortunately that fix hasn't worked for me think I'm going to have to send it back to the seller.

Have you checked the Connectors on the coax, had one where a corroded joint was pulling down the 24V rail on the PSU remade the end and voila a working box.
