    SKYBOX F3 + WIFI ??

Guys i dug out my old skybox F3 and i want to use it in the bedroom using the WIFI.

I have tried numberous firmwares from 2012 to 2013, none seem to work with the WIFI. I have a unbranded unofficial wifi card.

Can you please advise if i can use this? or do i really need the official dongle one? I dont see there being a difference???

Everytime i load new firmware and then reboot. Active WIFI but the option is greyed out to set the wifi up. It says it cannot detect any wifi dongle present??

    Thank you

The wifi dongle has to use the Ralink RT5370 chipset, otherwise it won't be recognised.

You will probably get better results using Homeplugs. However, if you want to try a cheap dongle that works (I've used it myself), then this one is only ?3.25 with free P&P:-
