hello, a few weeks ago i had this no signal prob on all channels, bbc1 thru to sky sports1, well it decided go before city v liverpool game and ive noticed, all V polar chans are working and signal 71% and all H chans like sky sports 1 etc arent, bt sport work and espn, where is my problem here? my sky dish is an old one so i take it the lnb will be same as it, it is a minidish, so am i looking at the lnb? just need to know then i can order one and sort it, tried box on a different dish and all chans including the H chans work, so box is fine, tried a new wire from lnb to box yday and didnt change anything, its an old single lnb so its dated, any help be much appreciated,

This is a known issue. This problem usually occurs when two or more devices are connected to the older Sky lnbs. If you either power down using the mains plug or disconnect the satellite cable from the other box - do the missing channels return? If so, the ideal thing to do is change the lnb - if not appropriate to do that you can search fleabay using the words " no signal fix " and for ?6 the fix may sort your problem. -

Ah, my error, I didn't read the part about your dish being a single lnb. My previous post was a suggestion to what may be causing the issue on a quad lnb and more than likely is not the correct solution in your case. It sounds as if it's the lnb itself that is knackered and therefore needs replacing. I would try connecting a different box to it to verify the issue. Also check that nothing is blocking the line of vision to the dish e.g trees, scaffolding etc.Comment

If all the channels are working on your friends dish then it's definitely a bad lnb on your dish, buy a new lnb for ?5 on eBay problem solvedComment
