Remote connection to a SKYBOX F5 model

Hi guys,

just looking at the best way to remotely connect to a Sky F5 box.

Current setup is a basic box setup with an external drive connected to it.

When attempting to connect via windows it is just timing out. Should I be connecting to this via a special tool or should I try to connect with a Linux operating system?

Is it even possible to remotely manage the content on the external drive via the box?

They are closed source receivers and as such there is no way to connect to the receiver 'Remotely' like you can do with a Linux E1/E2 receiver

There is a LAN tool on the skybox.cc website that works with my F3, but it's very basic, nowhere near the Enigma boxes ability.
