how likely is a tree thats around 12ft tall, affecting my signal? and is that the reason my signal is going from 70 to 7 etc n saying no signal

Depends how high your dish is.

there was a program called sat antenna alignment that had a tab to add obstructions x meters high x meters away and it would tell you if the obstruction was blocking the signal.I believe there are old free versions on the net.
