    Openbox V5s no signal ?

    Hi,

New here and hopefully someone can help me.

I just bought an openbox V5S off fleabay which is supposed to be plug and play, but when i start it up i get a no signal screen?

I have pressed the info key on one of the channels and it gives this:

    signal intensity 36%
    signal quality 10%

however i was replacing a sagem freesat box which gives this:

    satellite - Astra
    FE: FE1
    Frequency 10964mhz

    Signal strength: 61%
    Signal quality : 100%

I have just unplugged the satellite aerial from the sagem box, which i can watch free to air channelson and then plugged it into the the openbox and i'm getting no signal on all channels including the free to air.

Its an old dish and quad lnb

anyone able to help? If you need more info let me know.

    cheers

    Marc

Have you checked the LNB frequency setting on the 'Antenna Setup' page....

The usual setting is 'Universal (9750-10600)'. Might be worth a try.

Are you sure that the feed is plugged into the LNB socket & not the LOOP socket?

This is a common mistake, as the LNB socket is the inner one of the 2 sockets.
