FTP to skybox f5s

My Box crashes when I connect the LNB cable I have been told it is because the .cw and .cfg files are corrupt and I need to delete them and replace them with new using FTP.

Can someone please help on how to do this.

I'd check your Coax Cable connections first before starting to replace firmware etc.

A corroded or short circuit connection will cause the same symptons as you are describing.

You cannot use FTP programs like filezilla etc. but there is a program called LAN Tool that lets you transfer certain files to & from the box.

...but as Nobby Nutz says, check out your LNB cable first. Although a short circuit in the cable normally causes the box to restart, rather than crash. It may be worth taking off the F plug, cutting back the coax, redoing the end & refitting the plug.

FTP lan tool CAN brick an F5 / F5s...its pot luck though....i was doing it for months then 1 day....ooops bricked...never got it fully sorted.
