    F5S not recognising hard drive

    Evening all,

Been using my WD passport 500gb hard drive with my skybox F5S for a few months now. Plugged it in last night and the media player option didn't highlight. The drive was running, light on etc,and when you unplug it the screen displays the message saying the device has been disconnected, but no longer displays the message when you connect it. My pen drive works fine, but for some reason all of a sudden my hard drive doesn't,any ideas? There may already be a thread for this,if so please advise, thanks all.

Works fine on pc and the tv downstairs which has a built in media player, strange why all of a sudden it just won't work on the skybox,no big deal, just wondering if anyone has had this problem before me.

I've got a powered 1GB Seagate external drive, If I don't use the skybox for maybe 5 days & I switch it on, the Hard Drive doesn't switch on/get recognised, I have to unpower it and power it back up again.

This may be a silly question but how do I go about checking the file system? Thanks for the help by the way. When it happened I left the drive plugged into the box for around 10 mins, powered the drive but still didn't read it.
