Noob here! I've read that I should back up my box as a starting point but can't figure out how to do it. I've just purchased an openbox v5 and don't won't to wipe anything by mistake when it comes to updating it. My software is showing 01_04_2014 so presume this is out of date. Any help and tips would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

To back up the image with all it's settings, go to menu > tools > dump by USB. Dump mode = Image file (*.abs). Scroll down to "Start" & press OK. I'm not sure if your V5 options are the same as the F5s, but with my F5s I get 2 options - 1 FxS backup.abs (image) & 2 system setting (in image). Select both & press yellow button to dump.
Actually, are you sure it's an V5 & not an V5s? I didn't think Openbox did a V5.Comment
