SKY Router wont decrypt for some reason.

I recently obtained one of the following routers which is very good for my wireless gaming etc, but once connected to openbox s11-s12 it wont alllow the "GIFT" to login....

Anyone else have this router or problem?

Was all ok with your old router and if possible could you still use your old router to ensure that all's well with your 'gift'

If that's ok then you may have to do some port forwarding on your $ky router.

All other routers do the Job. Im wondering does this have some new detection software in it for the future, or is it just mines its happening to.

Up until earlier this year when I changed to fibre that was exactly the same router that I was using and I never had any problems with it. I didn't need to alter any settings on it either so I'm surprised that you're having trouble with it. I personally would try a few things to find out the cause. You could try entering the router settings and resetting them to the default state, if you're using an ethernet cable to connect your box - try the cable in a different socket on the router and you could try disabling any anti -virus software you may have. I have read somewhere that some Sky broadband users have had to go into their online Sky account and disable their free online protection known as Sky Broadband Shield which prevents access to certain sites but obviously this may not apply to you depending who your broadband provider is.

you need to go into you router settings and turn the sly broadband shield thingy off its blocking the traffic, seen this quite alot with those white routers , symptoms are no channels or only a handfull will open ,all the best aldo
