skybox f5 scart / hdmi query

Hi, i have a skybox f5, im currently using the scart out to my tv as i have a CRT tv.
the picture quality is not great, it wobbles slightly, nothing to do with my scart lead (Oxygen free copper gold plated) as its plugged up toa a official sky box and its fine.

are the f5 boxes known to be sh1t picture quality with scart output?

what other boxes out there give a decent picture through scart?

Have you tried using the phono (RCA) connections to see if it's the same?

hi, yes i've used the 3 phono leads and its even worse than scart !!

any other box that gives decent pic through scart? i dont want my parents to fork out for a new tv which is HD

Skyboxes are shite unless you use hdmi. The way around it is to use the rca output into another input say a dvd recorder / video recorder(remember them?) then output through that into the tv. It should boost the signal ( slightly) put the skybox into RGB in the settings to upscale the sd channels too (slightly)
