you need to plug in a usb stick then go into menu/pvr setting and change the timeshift to ON and ps record to ON.
The pause and record will work correctly then.

Mine doesn't keep its xmltv EPG and does not record reliably. Seems it goes into standby and does not come out of it to record when it should.

Guys can u help me. My son wants me to get him a sat box so he can watch spanish football on 19e. I want to get him a easy box to use so was looking at the openbox f5s or v8s. The questions I have is do both these boxes still have a "secret" menu that allows me to add important info to let him watch the football and if they do how do u access the menu. Hope I have been careful enough not to contravene any forum rules!!!

Well, the option may just be visible, otherwise type 6666 when in the networking menu. Applies for other options in the menu as well.

Recently bought a V8s and I'm having audio problems, gradually goes out of sync and then total sound distortion, this happens 2 or 3 times per hour.
Not impressed with the unit so far,

You would be far better off with a Spiderbox 6000 for 19.2? east as once patched with the relevant patched firmware you may be quite surprised at what you can see if you get my drift

i know 3 people who have these boxes with gift and documentary channels do not work on all 3 boxes keep away from them

nearly all the documentary channels are scrambled signal is full strength and no issue with gift,i read they don't like channel updates via usb,also did a fresh sat search and tried the newly found channels with issuies and still nothing

just rescan the satellite and update your channel list from aj, all HD Channels are down at mo until a patch is done!! but as the v8s upscales hd the sd channels are just as good!!

tried the rescan and tried all the lost channels in all sats and still scrambled,these boxes don't like channel updates via usb,a few people have said this on other forums,as for the hd I am aware of and it wont be back
