help with firmware for new openbox v5s please

hi all just joined the forum and recently purchased a openbox f5s but have no idea what the difference is if any from skybox f5.

having read the info on the forum how to update firmware via usb, and create or download a list like aj to my openbox, I cannot seem to find the firmware file I should be loading into my openbox v5s.


I am a complete newbe as regards this particular sat receiver

Do you actually need to update your firmware?

Have a look at Menu > tools > information. If your software ver is dated 10_04_2014 then you have the latest.

If not, it can be downloaded from here:-

The main difference between this box & the F5 is that you can have a 5/7 day EPG on this box, which the F5 didn't support.
