Openbox v5s external USB ports

I was wondering if I bought something like this : Quality 4 Ports High Speed USB 2.0 Hub Multi Splitter Expansion for PC Laptop | eBay would it work on my openbox as I want to use wifi and have the EPG working.

Did you give this a try at all?

I tried with a different hub, and it would see the thumb drive and the wifi, but never actually connect the wifi to the ap.
