Hi sorry but I'm a total newbie,,,,,i have brought a open box v5s the dish is going up 2moz so not tried anything yet but my question is can I plug an external hdd in it and record programs ?? Thanks

Yep. You can plug a HDD into the USB port, but you can only record the programme you are watching, as it only has a single tuner.

Cheers for the reply,, I do have another question if u could help me?? If I wanted it in another room do I need another openbox or could I use another box like a normal sky box
