Newbie needs to choose a box

Well I'm new in here and am looking to get myself an openbox, I'm new to it all so require plenty of advice, so what can you give me please?

The Openbox aka skybox/libertview box is a cheap and nasty Chinese sat reciever, best ones are the 5 or 8 series and if you get a 5 series make sure it's a 5s as that has a slightly better EPG . The 8 series is the newest and comes with the better EPG as default, it also has WebTV whatever that is? Both do the job but there is better boxes out there.

Whichever you get, the best advice is follow the guides in the red stickies, especially this One;

Channels lists can also be found in the red stickes, either cwaite's or aj's both are excellent.
