    Signal 5%

Done loads of these boxes, provider is spot on as all other boxes are tip top

The issue I have is sky sports 2 & 5 signal drops to 5%
all +1 channels work fine, normal channels drop to 5%
for example gold 5% gold +1 working fine.
dropped aj's latest channel list, can't seem to find red button selection on favs which has thrown me a bit as all others have it.

any help would be much appreciated

How do you go about doing that mate? I'm normally a dreambox user, but these boxes are cheap and easy to fire up.
why would all these channels be working and those highlighted don't?

Had a wee look at that post Maca, the dish being used is a communal one above flats, think the dish provides 8 flats.
My young cousin has the same set up with a v8s, all channels working fine.

Are the lnb settings easy enough to find on the v5s or is it behind a hidden screen?

maybe you are only getting 1/2 the transponders, like h only or v only.
I would check the tp list to make sure you are getting all the transponders in the channel list.

Possibly Slugworth, though I would expect to have less channels if that was the case. Every fav group pretty much 100% ok.
whats thrown me is, gold, sky1, Sky Atlantic, living etc are the only ones dropping in signal, the +1s are fine.
sky sports 2 & 5 has really thrown me as Ive always thought if you got one you normally get them all unless a new channel list update was required.

SS2 & 5, plus gold, $ly1, $ly Atlantic are all on V transponders (All the +1 channels of gold, $ly1, & $ly atlantic are all on H transponders). Although $ly Living +1 is on an V transponder, so are you sure that you're receiving that one?

                  How about Dave (V) & Dave ja vu (H), or Lifetime (V), Drama (V) & $ly arts 1 (V)?

It looks like you may need the "no signal fix".

Hadron, I'm thinking this may be the case. Problem is its a communal dish above 8 flats, bummer not the easiest to get to the lnb

The "no signal fix" plugs into the skybox/openbox. No need to touch the LNB or dish.

on a communal Sat system its more than likely using a Quattro LNB for the feed into the switch giving HH,HL.VH,VL frequency's. most of the Channels you have mentioned are on the Vertical High band which would suggest a problem with that band alone meaning the LNB or the Multiswitch is at fault.

Could also be a tuner problem in the Box itself, can you try another V5s to see if it results in the same behaviour

You just need to unscrew the cable that goes into the LNB input of your box, & place the "no signal fix" in between.

So that you plug the cable from the LNB into the socket end of the "no signal fix", & the plug end of the "no signal fix" screws into the LNB connector on the box.
