    Deleting Favourites?

    Hi there,

I'm very new to this site so please forgive me if this has been asked - I did do a quick search but couldn't readily see the answer or see if anyone had already asked it but...

I would like to delete some favourite categories which I have no interest in. I am able to easily delete channels using a DBS Editor (PVR800 Editor) but cannot see any way to get rid of various favourites.

Can someone please point me in the right direction / provide some guidance on this - it would be much appreciated.

    Thank you

    Owain

IIRC if you delete all the channels or move all the channels out of a certain fav category then that fav category won't be displayed.

You can do this with the remote and the 'fav edit' option in the menu and its worth backing up your channel list first just in case I'm wrong.

You can do it on the box itself by deleting all the channels within a favourites category.

Go to menu > edit channel > favourites edit. Press the "FAV" button on remote. Scroll down the list to the fav you want to delete. Press OK. That fav category should now appear on the right of the screen. Scroll across to the first channel in the list on the right hand side of the screen. Press green (option). Select "select all" & press OK. Scroll across to middle column & select blue cross (Del). Press OK. Press "Exit". When asked if you are sure to save, select "yes".

As there are no longer any channels in that fav, it will no longer show in the Fav list.

EDIT...martin035. Sorry. I didn't see your post when I started mine, as I was typing out the instructions while dashing backwards & forwards between my pc & box to make sure I was doing it right. LOL.

Hadron, no problem, just glad you confirmed what I posted, as I said I wasn't 100% sure you could do it that way.
