    SkyBox F5s Wifi

Not sure if anyone has asked this so apologies if thay have and i have not seen it.

Ive just got a new box so decided to put my F5s upstairs.
I have the official SkyBox wi-fi dongle thing...

However, it will not connect to $ channels and just says Scrambled.

I have no idea if i have set this up right of not but when it asks me for my Router key, I enter the correct one be keep getting an error message telling me something along the lines of "invalid key, please input 5-13 digits" or something like that!
My key is 10 digits long and is correct everytime im putting it in.

    Am I doing something wrong??

    Please help?

    Thanks

Could be something simple as capitals in your WiFi key, had this problem when I tried to connect my TV to the Internet.

Can you turn the Encryption off on your router to see if it connects, to ensure that the box and wifi adaptor are working correctly and compatible?

If that's OK then ensure both the router and box have the same Encryption protocols ie both on either WEP or WPA or WPA2

Another thing you could try is turning your mobile phone into Portable Wifi Hotspot and see if your box can connect to that device.

Whilst I was searching for a guide I found this on the forum, sounds very similar to your problem, the answer was to change the encryption method on your router.

To do this you will have to access your router via a computer, google will be you friend for this, just search ''how do I access 'make and name of route'' normally it's via your web browser and the IP address of the router, good luck

Best of luck with this mate. I had a very similar issue tried router settings, no encryption and changing key for something simple. All this failed ended up going home plugs. Problem sorted. Not sure if the dongle just died. No one local I know to test with.

I have a new Sky Hub so not entirely sure how to do this....... Suppose google will show me what to do!

                Cheers chaps

If you don't know how to change the settings in the hub
go & buy these TP-LINK TL-PA411KIT AV500 500 Mbps Powerline Adapter Starter Kit Deals | Pcw

They are great you may get them cheaper elsewhere but they do the trick
