Just tried a channel update and now box stuck on load any ideas peeps its an slybox f5

Try and switch off the box, unplug it from the mains socket also.

Then switch it back on again and see if it stays on the load part.

Otherwise I recommend you check out the following guide which states how to bring back box "back to life".

Cheers mate can you do that just using a usb stick or do i need cables

As it states in the guide, you need need "null modem serial cable" or .."get a good quality to usb to serial adapter". If you do search online you can find one reasonably priced.

Before using the cables.maybe you want to try upgrading the firmware on your box using a USB method

box wont do a thing just stuck on load so seems I must use rs232

YE I JUST HAD TO FIX MY F5S AS IT BRICKED AFTER A CHANNEL LIST UPDATE WITH A RS232 TO USB CABLE WORKED GREAT AND EVERYTHING WORKING AGAIN
AS MY BOX WAS STUCK ON loAd screen
