V8S box audio output on HDMI

Hi everyone hope you all had a good Xmas...

Have just brought a new Sony STR-DN1050 AV Receiver and when I have say BBC 1 on HD the sound output on the HDMI is only PCM 2 channel (obviously on Virgin box on BBC1 HD output is Dolby 3.2.1 ie 5.1) does any one know if the audio on the V8S via HDMI is capable of 5.1 etc?

Have found it in main settings...under digital audio out have changed to BS Out so now have 5.1 (AC3)
