    Where to start looking please?

    Hello all!

My knowledge to all this is limited so i'll appologise in advance!

    I have a new
Skybox f5, just had a sattalite fitted today too. As I'm trying to watch Programs they keep freezing and every so often coming up with scrambled.

I am using power line networking for network connection and Internet speed is decent. I have signal intensity 90% and quality 76%.

I understand we can not talk about channel providers or gifts or whatever there called so enough said on that.

Could someone please tell me where's best look to try and rectify this problem? I don't know about the firmware and if its updated would i loose my channel lists? As I bought this as plug and play.

    Thank you all in advance.

Id say its your gift provider if you feel your internet is up to the job. Try putting ajs udated list on it first and see if it improves.

even with homeplugs some if powered into a double power socket with something else plugged in will drop your speed.newer homeplugs can be plugged into,if in doubt try removing other items from sockets and recheck.

hi Happy New Year to everyone... Here are a couple of info to help:
            a) When you install a new patch/firmware you dont lose your channel list as far as i am aware.. You will lose your channel list if you do a factory restore as this will put all your settings back to original state. Before doing any upgrade you can always backup your current channel list to USB and restore it back in case you require it etc.
            b) Regarding satellites do you have problems with the free channels - if so its your setup thats wrong. If ok then problem lies elsewhere ie network connectivity probably.
            c) Do you get YOUTUBE or other network applications working ok. If so then problem is not with internet - you need to go back to whoever sold you the box for more info.
            Regards

The default channel list is loaded during "factory settings". Both CWAITE/sattv5 & AJ's lists contain a default and user channel list. In fact, it's recommended that you perform a "factory settings" if you have problems with your favourites headings:-
