OpenBox v8S +usb hard drive

Newbie question:- Got everything set up OK (I think). My Seagate USB drive is formatted NTFS. It will record and play any thing new correctly. I previously had it connected to a FreeSat box and all the recordings from that are still on it, but don't show up on the OpenBox menu.
Is there any way I can still view these without having to keep swapping boxes back and forth?

Plug it via USB and then go onto Menu on your V8 and look for Media player. Press on it and then scroll down to Video. Should play any tv or movies on your HD
