so you can see message on screen of tv saying no signal and you can get menu and other stuff up on screen meaning hdmi is working? is it just a channel or all channels as if moved might give you a no signal?when you flashed box did you scan for channels on 28.2?

first of all make sure you used the firmware for that model, dont assume any will do as it may brick it,secondly did you set the sat to scan on 28.2 recheck again as if set to other sat =no signal.might also be a faulty tuner, only way to check is to do it elsewhere to scan.

how many f connector ports on box 1 or 2 if 2 are you in loop?

sean u could try factory reset on the box and start from scratch as a last resort but it does all point to a faulty tuner as u av said it was working fine at 1 point.u av nothing to loose with a rest just remember to back things up pal.

I am just testing one of these Micro HD boxes now & it's definitely got a faulty tuner probably like the original poster in this thread.

It only seems to hold the signal for a few seconds then disappears altogether, have jiggled the cable about a little to see if it's come loose but it hasn't.

Tried on 2 dishes I know are both working as I have other boxes working fine.

Did a firmware upgrade but still gave same fault....PILE OF CRAP if you ask me.

Whereas the better Amiko Boxes (Alien 8900 / Alien 2) never had a problem with signal.

Lads I have found with these boxes that they can be a bit fussy with the type of LNB. If you have a standard Sky dish with quad LNB, it may not work. The problem is you can't just swap the LNB for a standard universal quad as the collar on the fitting is oval shaped (Sky do this on purpose). Only proper solution is to install a 60cm universal dish & LNB. However, that may not be the problem & you might do all that for nothing, but I have found that to be an issue in the past... hope that helps!

I am afraid that is not the Case at all concerning the official $ly dish it is after all ellipitical shaped (Standard everyday offset Dishes are Oval) with there own matching LNB with a feedhorn design shaped to match the dish precisely.

That is why using a standard LNB on there dish is pointless it will work but the design of a standard feedhorn is such that it is meant to illuminate a standard offset Oval dish and vice versa if you used the $ly quad LNB on an offset oval dish it will not illuminate (Gather Signal) correctly and so your Signal readings would suffer compared to using a matched LNB

A Digicon says, this is not the problem, I tested Amiko Micro HD on Sky dish & LNB & also on a feed coming from a 1.25 dish on a Technomate gold .1db LNB & still no signal, definitely a tuner fault with this particular box I tested for someone.
