SKYBOX F3 AND SONY BRAVIA KDL-50W829B HDMI ISSUE

    Hiya

I am really hoping for some help and guidence from any of you guys if possible

So i went and bought a Sony Bravia TV KDL-50w829b Based on some really good reviews.
Problem is since changing TV, is i have no picture or sound the F3 Skybox is working on the other TV which was a Samsung 46" LCD tv so this must be fine.

I have tried all in my power from isolatiing the av yanmar ax830 to direct hdmi cable to the box to TV Direct to eliminate problems
I have tried a factory reset on New Sony TV and also tried the lastest update from there website also.

I have tried to change the setting on the F3 Box using other tv to 720p, 720i and im at a loss??

I have tried alternative HDMI Leads and lengths.

I thought these things was just plug and play how wrong i am.

Over ?1500 worth of equipment without anything working.

The thing is my PC works so the HDMI Ports on the TV must work and im currently watching Tivo on Sony Bravia via Scart
Hope ive given plently of info.

PLEASE IF YOU HAVE TIME TO HELP I WOULD BE REALLY APPRECIATIVE

          Hiya

Great Guys Thankl you for the replies i cant tell you how much energy its taken for someone to get any info on this.

Yes i have he Skybox F3 but theres no option for scart output on this box it does and has worked with the previous samsung tv.

The settings have been left the same as there was no need originally to change at first.
Then i tried to change the settings from the working tv samsung and then just plug HDMI into the SONY Briavia as i went through the different resolutions.

What are my options here do i change the box or even consider the TV being sent back.

          Thank you

Although you don't have a scart socket, there are composite phono outputs on the F3. Perhaps you could try those with the new TV, then try the video resolutions again.

You said in your previous post that you tried 720p & 720i. Have you also tried 1080i_50?

Hiya First thank you for replying. Its was set to 1080i 50 by default and i have change its to 60hz also to see if this could get a picture to the TV but to no avail! Its a fair suggestion and one that i might take up with the scart to composite i think i might have one around as they are normally used on the the playstations those composite to scart leads.

Also ive arranged for someone from richer and richer sounds to come out and setup and check the tv.

Is there anything they you could suggest i ask in case i get fobbed off with technical jargon.

              Cheers for your support guys

Take the tv back, it's obviously a bag of toss. If they can't get it to work demand a full refund
