        Hi Guys,

        Just throwing my hat in the ring for some info on the XMLTV Epg problem with SKybox **5, have tried just about everything;

        Tried 3 different USB storage both manual update and EPG update on standby.
        Last week I updated my box to Dec 2014 Firmware and tried again, still no joy.

        It has truly been down since around the clocks going forward but I've had intermittent problems with the EPG update since
        about January.

                    There are 2 options here to remedy the problem 1. you can directly email the manufacturers of the STB you purchased as venting your spleen on here is great but the chinese manufacturers cant hear you.

                    2. do exactly what most tech buyers do and protest with your wallets as in never buy another product that they manufacture, As soon as sales drop they might start thinking about getting it fixed.

                      AIUI, XMLEPG is done on a voluntary basis by enthusiasts and it was intended for Linux boxes. The IPTV people and Skybox jumped on the free service with poorly configured apps which hammered the sites that were hosting the service resulting in them pulling the service. The people behind the service have changed the service slightly and found new hosts but are not freely giving out too much information, especially to the people that are abusing the system.

                      I doubt Skybox will generate the EPG themselves, so it's unlikely they will get this particular EPG back online
