    4 openboxes on 60cm dish

i have a mk4 zone1 dish with a octo 8 way lnb i am useing 4 openboxes of it. now the problem i am haveing is that 1 of the boxes keeps loading and then knocking itself of and it isnt the box because i have tryed it elsewer and the connectors and cable have been check and all fine it seems to happen wen all 4 boxes are being fed from the lnb does anybody no why this is happening.could it be the size of the dish or fault with the lnb or 2many boxes of the lnb.

its a known fault that sometimes they throw a pissy fit with sly quad/octo lnb,s. you splashed out didnt you maybe you could replace the zone1 with something like a triax td64cm dish and standard quad/octo lnbf. if only 4 ports are in use on the octo then you could try a standard sly quad as they are cheap enough. regards mdt

Does the faulty box keep on rebooting itself when it gets to 100, or does it do something else?

Does it only do it when the other 3 boxes are connected at the same time? Is it OK on it's own?

You could try a different power supply with the faulty box. Perhaps the power supply is on it's way out & cannot handle the extra current needed when the box tries to power the LNB.

        Are they V5s boxes?

I agree its likely the LNB....I use a quad Technomate Gold and its been fine for 2 years now running a mix of Skybox and Amiko receivers all at the same time.
Each LNB in a QUAD needs to be seperate units to work properly with these boxes....many stock LNB's aren't
