no signal

hope someone can help ive got a openbox v8s which i connected yesterday but was only getting fta channels and a couple of sports like bt sport and espn everything else it just said no signal on screen then when i turned it on this morning every channel has no signal on screen ive tried my sky hd box using same cable and it works fine also tried my openbox at my brothers and it worked fine cheers

If you tried the Box at your Brothers and your own official HD receiver works fine then its either the LNB or Coax Cable, you dont say if you have the official box plugged in at the same time as the V8s

yes mate the official box is connected at same time i use that upstairs

Thats your problem disconnect it & you should get all the channels back on the V8s

Is there a cable from the LNB to each box ?? or looped

The problem is the $ly box is taking the signal away from the V8s box
always happened with the F3 & F5 boxes

cheers for the reply i had a new LNB fitted today now im getting most channels but not getting sly movies or sly sports and plus ive turned my sky hd box off upstairs

Disconnect the cable from the box upstairs & see if that works
if not what channels are you missing (yes i know you say) movies & sports

but what channels makes a difference

cheers for the reply im missing sky sports 1,2,3,4,5 and sports news channels i can get bt sport and espn and i dont get any sky movie channels at all only the fta ones like men&movies
