    skybox f5s 8 on display

    My skybox f5s stopped working while watching it the screen flickered and the box shut down now it has a faint red light and 8 on the display if switch it off at the mains and turn it back on it starts going through the motions and gets to 0050 then the faint 8 shows again. I have tried it with lnb disconnected but it does the same. Is this a firmware problem or is the box dead.

      Hi, Got a problem with a skybox f5s satellite receiver. Have not come across this problem before. Basically on the front display it show "8" and also dim red light. Has anyone come across this problem before, and solution to fixing this problem. Any help much appreciated. Regards.

          Thanks for that I have ordered a null cable to see if that works. I have put a multimeter on the psu and its giving out 12.4v so I think that's ok
