request for info regarding the latest firmware available for openbox 11

Hi all

dug out an old S11 box and having grief.

The latest channel lists show mostly "no signal" errors so I assume it's a firmware issue.

I am desperate for the asian channels to work as it is for a friend but I also noticed inconsistencies.

AJ's List 26-3-15 (No Adult) works fine on sky sports cricket, but not on news, 1, 3, 4, 5 f1 etc (they all have the no signal error)

(20140825 TP_PROG no adult) shows no signal on all sports channels including the one that is fine on aj's list.

I assume it is firmware

can anyone advise please.

I (of course) delete channels, reboot box, upgrade the channel list, reboot box again etc etc

do a blindscan and watch tv
there is no "new" firmware and hasn't been for 3 years now

That's what I did

no signal

having had the same kind of "issues" with this kind of box before I have in the past taken it elsewhere and it has worked.

This time I tried the same but no joy

if you do a blindscan and it finds nothing it's a hardware or aiming problem.
make sure it's the only receiver hooked to the lnb.

Realised after posting what I had said.

I did blindscan once plus loads of other "ready made" ones.

Thing is with the blind scan there's no favourites so was deleting them. (not sure if I checked whether they were showing)

will dig it back out and do a blind scan again and post back up.

Hi If the blind scan does not find the channels then either channels have gone or dish is not aligned properly..

yep correct

have motorised and fixed, both are fine and ALL other boxes work ok, just this s11, even an s10 works ok

Redid a blind scan and channels ok but no favourites so could not pass this box on as it was.

flashed the latest list back on and once again I got no sly movies and only sly sports 1 - news, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc were all no signal, weird.

It's going to just get dumped back in the cupboard and forgot about as it is more trouble than it's worth.

I would just make my own favourites

Sure if I was going to use it myself but just not worth the effort as it all has to be done via the remote.

I have used various editors for these kind of boxes and all are troublesome and not worth the effort really in my opinion.

If only I could use dreambox edit then I would happily play with it

as mentioned will bin it in the back of junk cupboard

the trick to using the channel editor for making the favorites is you save the data to receiver as the default data,then do a factory reset on the receiver which then makes your favorites show up.
