I need the most up to date firmware for the openbox S12, I have tried a number of them but only some of the free channels work and the rest say no signal...... I think its a firmware issue but cant find anything after 3/3/14. any and all help appreciated thanks.

feb 15,2012 was the last official firmware for the s10/s11/s12 which all use the same firmware.

firmware has nothing to do with not getting channels.
If you do a blindscan and the dish is set up/aimed properly you should get the channels if the receiver is capable.
Not in that viewing area but the openbox doesn't like to be connected with other receivers to the same lnb for some reason.
Probably a lack of grounding block where the cable comes into the house.Comment

I tried multiple firmwares all with same issue, some channels getting reception while others no signal. Now the firmware I placed on has bricked it.
I am currently running a dm500 without any issues on the same signal.Comment

nobody ever explained why the dm500 gets channels the openbox doesn't.
I thought the dm500 was an sd box.
