Missing some channels

Strange problem with my F5. I have the means to get all of the channels but for some reason I cant get sports 2 or other random channels? I can get them on hot bird but not on the Sky UK 28A. Any help as it is bewildering me.

Have you tried the following;
1. A different Channel list, there's plenty on the forum
2. A TP list scan on freq 12207 V 27500 or 12148 H 27500 or 12110 H 27500 (Irish Adverts)
3. Full Blind scan

I have tried a blind scan and a different channel list. The only one I haven't tried is the second one, might give it a go. Many thanks.

You could try changing the letters in the alphabet from C to MG It solved a similar problem with a F5

Hi I think youre getting a bit confused as channels on 28.2 you cannot get on Hotbird as they are different providers etc. Is your dish aligned correctly because if blind scan did not find the channels then a channel list will not open either unless dish is correctly aligned.

Hi I'm having a similar problem with a Skybox 5. I have got the dish aligned for 28.2. A blind scan brings up all the channels I would expect. However all SKY channels and some others have a $ symbol pre-fixed to their name. I can only assume that this means they are scrambled. Trying to view these channels verify this. I have tried 2 different providers so I suspect that it is something I am doing / not doing. Any advice? I haven't tried a different channel list but would this give me anything that a blind scan wouldn't? Thanks in anticipation.

Hi If you try a different channel list it wont make any difference to the scrambled channels as you will need a means of subscribing to this channels. We are obviuosly not allowed on this forum to talk about certain things. As already mentioned you cant beat a blind scan as this should tune in all available channels as long as dish is aligned correctly. Thanks for the replies everyone, still cant get sports 2 or boxnation? My dish is showing a good signal on the relevant frequency but they aren't showing. It is annoying as hell!!
