    Openbox V8s external hard drive

I have ordered an Openbox V8S but have not received it yet. Browsing these forums I have seen that other users have got external hard drives attached and the sales page talks of using a USB stick for storage. Can anyone recommend the 'best' option in terms of storage space and access speed so that I can get the 'right' kit ready for when my box arrives?

    Thanks in advance.

Nothing? Anyone? Can anyone confirm that using an external HDD with an openbox is usable and not slow?

I use an old 2.5" 250GB hard drive from a broken laptop. Bought the cheapest USB caddy I could find on Ebay & it works fine.

Can't remember what make it was though.

Sorted, many thanks for the info. I have an old 250Gb drive too so I'll stick with that.

personally i just have a 64gb usb connected to mine. So cheap these days plus the benefit of not needing an external power for the caddy. All depends on how much space you need i suppose.
