    Newbie Help!

    Hi Guys.

I've purchased a Open-box V8s which is great and working fine. Although some of the EPG's being a bit pants and not being able to side scroll through TV channels while watching one.

I'm looking to set up both my Sky HD+ box and my open-box. I currently only have two coaxial cables running into my flat.
Can i set them both up by using the loop feature on the open-box or is it best to get a quad LNB and extra cables

Looking for a bit of advice on how to set up and what i can/wont be able to do by doing these set ups!

    Thanks

Hi buddy not sure with your box but most of the older openboxs have problems when you loop them
the Sly HD box takes the signal from the openbox...(search no signal fix)...i think its hit & miss......but there are loads of threads about this.....

How old is your dish ??
mine a few years old i would say 5 or 6 & it was installed with a quad LNB just check before you go buying one.....

Using the LOOP output will give you lots of problems. You won't be able to use both boxes at the same time, as each box sends signals to the LNB to control polarity & hi/lo band. The $ly+ box still sends control signals to the LNB, even when in standby, so it will interfere with the V8s.

If you don't already have a quad LNB, then it's best to fit one & use a seperate feed to the V8s.
