    No Signal!

    Hey guys,


    I have a skybox f5, it has served me incredibly well but I was getting a bit of trouble recently with the satellite cables in the back needing to be jiggled about slightly. It got worse and worse, and a couple of days ago when I switched the box on it loaded to 100, only to start again without booting up (unless I removed the satellite cables)...

    I reset it then reinstalled new firmware, now I can plug my satellite cables in without it going off, but now I get SNR signal of between 5&7 %, and none of the channels (even free ones) are working. I went out and tried tweaking the dish but no joy - any ideas?

      Only needs one feed buddy or is it a typo ??
      Make sure its in the correct one...Not loop
      if it is then sound like a dead tuner so dead box mate

      or do you have the official box connected at the same time on the loop

          The fact that you were getting problems when wiggling the LNB cable suggests that there's an intermittent connection to the F plug.

          Remove the F plug from the end of the cable. Cut off around an inch or 2. Prepare the end of the cable & refit the F plug.

              As previous post -Hello mate, try taking the box to a friend with a sat dish.If it works there you have an LNB or coax fault.
              If not your box is faulty.
