Strange no signal issue

Hi everyone, I currently run a F5 box and it's worked well for a long time but over the last 6 months it has played up with No Signal showing every now and again.
i tried the no signal fix but then I read it was only for vertical? Channels. Still it didn't fix my problem.

Now I'm getting no signal error every 30minutes, I have to remove the cable from lnb port and then jiggle it around for it to work for another wee while. All of my terrestrial channels work perfectly fine.

I thought the issue may be my f connector so I replaced my old one while cutting some of the wire back, again this worked for a while before shutting off.

Has anyone experienced this? How can my box work sometimes and not others? I've tried for ages looking for answers but I'm wondering if my F5 box has run it's course.

Hello mate, try taking the box to a friend with a sat dish.If it works there you have an LNB or coax fault.
If not your box is faulty.

Yeah I guess this is the next step, I don't understand why it runs fine sometimes and then turns off others!

Because these boxes are cheap and nasty Chinese tat.

Hi. I tried to put a motor on one of these receivers last year for a guy ..the receiver was driving me mad so i told the guy to bin it and gave him a TM F3/5 for free. As already mentioned these boxes are a waste of money.

Ok thanks for the help, I may look into a new box then. I've had this one for a few years do I can't complain too much!
