OPENBOX V8S NO HDMI SIGNAL

Hi all

I have just bought a openbox v8s and when I set it all up the box came on and counted up to 100 and channel number comes on the front.
I put it on the correct HDMI channel but could get no picture on the tv. The box was responding when using remote but could not get any picture.

Other devices work fine on the same HDMI channel but I have tried this box but no joy.

try pressing the vformat button whilst on the hdmi channel to see if the picture comes on

If you have a scart lead, then use that to view your box. You can then go to menu > system setup >tv system. Adjust the video resolution until you get an output on HDMI. Try 1080i_50 first.

Came across this a couple of times with these boxes. They are cheap boxes specifically made for one thing really. I would advise what Hadron has said though I've got a feeling it won't help even when you goto settings for hdmi.
Either send the box back or if your happy with using the scart lead, there's only 3 premium channels I can think of which still come at 1080.
so if you're not bothered about bbc, itv, etc coming via hdmi the box should give you what you want
