I have v8,lost a lot of channels,have been looking for advice on here but I'm totally clueless-need help in very simple terms please,thanks in advance :-)

Hi In simple terms just do a blind scan and it should retune the channels back unless you have a problem with dish or receiver etc.

Maybe you needs to update your channel list also, see CWAITEs guide on here or one of the others & install the latest one.
