    Will we ever get an EPG that works?

    Will we ever get an EPG that will work properley and give us at least 2 days worth of program details?

    right im trying to update the XMLTV EPG and get the following error epg decompress failed! please check disk free volume ?

      If you want an EPG that works then get a better designed box, something like a zgemma. The EPG on an openbox always has been and always will be rubbish.

      All depends on which series of openbox you own, if it's a v8s or v6 then update the firmware to the latest version and the EPG will work correctly again. If however, it's a v5s then once you update the firmware, it will fix that problem but introduce the old summertime epg bug and it looks like skybox.cc can't be bothered to fix this fault.

      There is a temp fix for this which involves downgrading the firmware, updating the EPG then updating the firmware but one would have to do this every couple of days and risk bricking the box with continual firmware installs.

        Sorry new to this been playing for the last two day, had the same issue, I had to update my firmware / image from skybox.cc, move the XMLTV EPG and all works great (Google / Youtube is your friend)
