f3 box not workking - ethernet connection? homeplugs (virgin broadband)

it was working but now its stopped. any advice? dhcp is on, when i turn it off it says invalid ip etc

any advice? i dont have a wifi dongle to check if thats works so only ethernet at this stage

main router is upstairs and the box is downstairs

Firstly, In your router look for the setting along the lines of "DHCP settings" or "IP settings" in your router. Make sure the option "DHCP Enabled/DHCP" is checked/ticked.

Secondly, I suggest you switch everything off then turn everything back on
e.g Router and the set top box.

Then turn the router back on.
Then turn on the Skybox.
Wait for 5 minutes.
Check the lights on the homeplug that are connected to the router as well as the Skybox.
