Help with missing channels even FTA ones.

Hi lads/lasses, downloaded AJ's latest channel list and installed it on both my box and my dads box, all ok until last night when I received a call off my day saying that most of his channels had gone off including the FTA ones, he can still get all the +1 channels (itv+1, itv2+1 etc) but not the original channels, there is nothing wrong with my box so it has me stumped as to why there is a problem with his yet we used the same channel update, I've tried the TP List, scan option but still nothing,
any suggestions?

Could as simple as wire could have come out of HD lead or accidental pressed the radio button, I would first check the disk wire behind the box usually over the years get broken or lose can cause signal issue.
