Newbie advice regarding motorised dish for my Skybox F3 please

    Hi there

I have been using a Skybox F3 with a standard Sky Dish for a few years with uk channel updates from AJ's.

Recently the neighbours kid kicked a ball at the dish and snapped the LNB. Its currently cable tied on and working fine but I think that with severe weather over the winter etc I may experience problems.

Although the neighbour offered to buy another std dish I've currently put him off as I started to think about the benefits (if any) of a small motorised dish.

I watch a fair bit of football, would a motorised dish with my current subscription get me free to air premier league football via one of the foreign channels ?

Can the Skybox F3 be set up for a motorised dish ?

Basically I would like to know the benefits of adding a motorised dish to my current set up.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

you can adapt a standard Sky dish 43cm to a Motor but to be perfectly honest you would be far better buying a cheap 60cm or 80cm dish which would bring in far more channels than the 43cm one can.

The F3 will work but you would have to scan each individual satellite to create a list as no one actually maintains a Motorised list for these models.

and there is sadly no Free To Air EPL there is on occassion feeds as well as the FTA turkmenistan sport HD chanel on 52? east and possibly a few others that can be opened with BISS and softcam keys.

The days of FTA EPL are a long distant memory, apart from when BT decide to show a game on the BT showcase channel on freeview ( That one slipped my mind LOL )
