hi all

I have the slybox v8s
just out of intrest whats your signal strength.

my signal intensity is 89%
and signal quality is 84%. is there a way I can get them both on 100%..

hi tazz I got a stronger signal by upgrading my dish to a zone 2 dish which is only slightly bigger than standed I asked my satellite guy that's what he recommended and it worked . hope that helps!!

Anything over 85% is good enough. I get 90% on a 1 mtr motorised so to get any more would need a bigger dish.

A picture paints a thousand words so I was saving time.

Are you actually having problems with your box? The figures you quote sound OK to me for a V8s. I'm not at home at the moment, so can't quote mine, but I'm sure they are similar.

The figures for sig strength & quality vary depending on make of box. There is no standard. A reading of 80% on 1 box might, for example, give 90% on a different box etc.

Your signal strength looks great as said invest in bigger dish and higher gain lnb good connections and top quality cable if you think you need it to be better.

no nothing wrong with box .. works great. I'm new to the sat side of things. I have had cable for years . my last box was the phoenix hd a850. on there was a better picture and thought if I could get the signal better it would improve the picture.

You should have stayed on the cable side of things if you want HD. or as said get a motorized set up..
